Sevalight Hatha Yoga & Relaxation is a gentle form of yoga and is suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. The class is healing for the body and mind, but also helps you to increase your stamina and flexibility, tone your body, improve posture, release stress and tension and find greater peace and harmony through the use of the breath, yoga Asanas and postural awareness. This form of yoga aims to help you love and accept yourself and achieve your full potential. Each class ends with a deep relaxation to allow you to assimilate the benefits of the Asanas and allow you to completely ‘let go’. Students say that they feel refreshed and rejuvenated by the end of the class. I currently run two private classes in Seaford, East Sussex on Tuesdays – morning and evening. I also teach at Peacehaven Wave Leisure on Thursday mornings.

Stage 2: For those who have practised Stage 1 and would like to deepen their practice.

Testimonials
“I have practised Hatha yoga for 10 years with several different teachers and can say, without hesitation, that Susannah’s class is by far the best that I have attended. The sessions offer a full range of postures (asanas) that stretch a different muscle group each week, but nothing ever feels rushed or forced – Transformation Hatha yoga is about reaching our full potential and a sense of balance through loving acceptance of ourselves, and our limits.
Crucially, Susannah’s classes allow time for relaxation before they begin so that participants can fully ‘arrive’, let go of their busy days and get into the right frame of mind. Practising yoga in this meditative, restorative way – that connects mind and body – was something that I had been looking for.
Susannah’s classes have a gentle sense of flow to them and she exudes a lovely, calming energy that feels both dynamic and grounding. Before limbering up and beginning the asanas, Susannah always enquires as to how each participant is feeling and whether there are any injuries or niggles she needs to know about. She is brilliant at adapting the postures to suit individual abilities and levels of experience, and keeps her classes small enough to allow for truly individual attention. This means they are great for beginners and more advanced participants as you get exactly the advice and input you need to gently progress your practice – and, importantly, to avoid doing postures incorrectly.
At the end of each session we take 15 minutes to lie down and relax while Susannah leads a meditation, to help us assimilate the postures we’ve learned. And we always finish with a simple grounding technique that prepares us for the hustle and bustle of the outside world again, which is really useful as I feel so chilled out by the end of the session I need to re-focus before I get in the car!
I look forward to Susannah’s class every week – it’s the antidote to a stressful working day and I continue to feel the benefits throughout the week, especially if I find time to do some of her asanas at home. I’m so pleased to have found a yoga class of this quality so nearby!” (Sally, Seafod)
