Training
In order to assure the quality of what it offers, ‘breathing spaces’ provides training and formation for facilitators of groups - large and small. This ranges from 1 and 2 Day Short Courses to a longer developed process over the equivalent of 8 Days within a six month period.
The value of this training to the network or organisation concerned is that the attitudes and skills participants acquire are transferable. As well as being able to deliver ‘breathing spaces’, successful participants they will also be able to support other types of initiative, bringing a ‘conversational approach’ to a wide variety of activities and projects.
Short courses are tailored to the needs of each context but they will always follow our guiding principles ~ they will be exploratory in style, and the previous relevant experience of group participants will be taken into account. These courses are usually undertaken in preparation for a specific project and often in readiness for a ‘breathing spaces’ initiative such as ‘The Micah Conversation’.
The Full Facilitator Training course has a flexible structure, but will normally comprise six teaching days interspersed with two series of practice sessions. It is designed to take place over a period of six months.
